Worship Pastor Job Description

Position Description

The Worship Pastor is to be an extension of the Senior Pastor’s ministry primarily through the leading and facilitating of the worship ministry. The Worship Pastor must be a born-again believer who affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). The Worship Pastor must also apply for church membership within two months of accepting the job. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Music Ministry

  • Plan and prepare the Order of Service alongside the Senior Pastor

  • Lead the Audio/Visual (A/V) Team

  • Coordinate any special services (ex: revival, Christmas program, etc.)

• Attendance

  • Attend regularly scheduled service times including but not limited to: 

    • Sunday morning worship

    • Wednesday evening Bible study

    • Monthly prayer time

  • Attend weekly staff meeting

  • Attend outreach ministry events including but not limited to:

    • Food pantry

    • VBS

    • Other evangelism events

• Tithing

  • All staff members are expected to tithe 10% according to Biblical standards

• Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor
